Pray: Neighborhood Prayer Initiative
Ok, now that we have a place to gather, we need to say hello to our new neighbors! There are two important ways we need your help with this:
ONE// Choose one of the four maps below and walk around that area praying. Here are just a few ideas:
- Pray for God’s favor as you pass by homes.
- Pray for invitational conversations with people you meet.
- Pray for new believers on those blocks.
TWO// Choose one of our neighborhood door-hanger packets available and say “hello” by March 27th!
- Simply go walk in your designated area and spread the word by hanging materials door-to-door.
- Start conversations that let people know that we are new to the neighborhood.
- DO NOT put materials in their mailbox, apparently you can go to jail for that!
After you are done leave a comment here at keeppointinginwaterloo.com to tell us how things went!

Pray: Next Steps Toward Waterloo Site
Above these doors is a simple, but eternal reality:
You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
First Baptist Church in Waterloo has been declaring that certainty for many years. Although they have seen many changes in their neighborhood, they consistently want to reach out to those in need.
FBC's vision is to reach their neighbors, friends and co-workers is our vision too! We want to share their burden for the lost in Waterloo, their call to go and make disciples, AND their location on the corner of 4th and Baltimore.
Our desire is for our two churches to continue to have their own unique expressions of worship, while sharing the responsibility to reach those in Waterloo who have not yet stepped over the faith line.
Would you pray specifically that the leadership teams from First Baptist Church and Prairie Lakes Church would take bold and courageous steps? Steps toward honoring God and partnering to make it impossible to get to Hell from that corner, or for that matter, any corner in Waterloo!

Prayer Alert: The first door was opened!
I cannot thank you enough for your support and prayers! I heard back this morning from the leadership team of the potential site and they have decided to take another step with us. They will call a vote for January 31 (the same day we start up in the Chapel!) to enter into negotiations or not.
So, what next? Keep pointing and praying! Whether God has this site for us or another, we need to keep pointing people toward Him and we need to fervently pray to be disturbed about Waterloo! Praise God for this next step and all of you very disturbed people!

Pray: Open Doors
I don't know if it is because I think everyone else is always so busy or that they have their own thinks to pray about, but I have neglected to ask for specific and intentional weekly prayer from the church. For this I apologize. But today is a new day and so I am asking now that you would join me in prayer for God's glory in Waterloo...
Pray specifically for a very important meeting tonight at 7:30. This is a critical next step toward a location in Waterloo. Ask for favor from God and among the men and women who make this decision. Beg God to open a door and give us a plce to meet and worship Him in Waterloo. If it is His will, ask for March!!!
Praying alongside you,
-Ron
