Above these doors is a simple, but eternal reality:
You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
First Baptist Church in Waterloo has been declaring that certainty for many years. Although they have seen many changes in their neighborhood, they consistently want to reach out to those in need.
FBC's vision to reach their neighbors, friends and co-workers is our vision too! We want to share their burden for the lost in Waterloo, their call to go and make disciples, AND their location on the corner of 4th and Baltimore.
Our desire is for our two churches to continue to have their own unique expressions of worship, while sharing the responsibility to reach those in Waterloo who have not yet stepped over the faith line.
Would you pray specifically that the leadership teams from First Baptist Church and Prairie Lakes Church would take bold and courageous steps? Steps toward honoring God and partnering to make it impossible to get to Hell from that corner, or for that matter, any corner in Waterloo!

I was guessing this was going to be the location!

We drove by FBC Waterloo and prayed that their congregation and ours would both make a decision that would help us all to reach more people for Christ. Excited to start the journey!

We are going to be working together over the next week or two to nail down some details to see if this can work, so keep praying and pointing friends!

Praying that all those who interface will desire unity and harmony of vision. Praying the need to reach the lost will be the most pressing concern and that all will trust God's leading, no matter what happens. Praying love, patience and consideration will be demonstrated by all throughout this process.

It isn't clear in the post...did FBC Waterloo approve a cooperation with PLC? It kinda hints towards that, but I'm guessing from comments that they must have and we are praying for details to come!

The FBC family has voted to enter into negotiations with us about what this could look like in the near future. We are very excited about this, but do not want to get the cart ahead of the horse. Thanks for the question Ron!

Your comment Ron about "...nail down some details to see if this can work..." doesn't sound very confident. If GOD our LORD JESUS CHRIST has truly led FBC and PLC to work together, for HIS Honor and Glory, it WILL work.
